Bachelor of Commerce ( General ) with ACCA/CIMA

The Bachelor of Commerce (General) is an undergraduate degree designed to provide students with a wide range of managerial skills, while building competence in particular areas of business such as financial accounting, banking laws, corporate accounting and others. Students learn about basic theories, principles and processes involved in Commerce and Accounting. The BCom (General) with ACCA/CIMA programme is a customised offering specifically for an elite section of students interested in pursuing commerce, accounting and auditing at a professional level. For ACCA, students receive five subject waive-off. The remaining eight papers are to be attempted by students from the second semester onwards. Professional training for ACCA/CIMA are built into the regular weekly-timetable building on the overlaps between many BCom, ACCA and CIMA courses. After completing this programme successfully, students can move into executive roles in the corporate sector or opt for M.Com. or MBA for their Master’s degree.

Program Outcomes for B COM:
PO 1: The course provides a platform for experimental learning and grooms students towards industry specific curriculum with focused approach on specific areas which are crucial in the management of companies.
PO 2: After completing three years for Bachelors in Commerce (B.Com) program, students would gain a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of Commerce and Finance.
PO 3: The course is focused on the all-round development of the students’ personality through proper education and exposure to the vast treasure of knowledge.
PO 4: The course provides exposure to students in the latest trends in relevant branches of knowledge giving them the needed competence and creativity to face global challenges.
PO 5: Students have a plethora of choices to pursue professional courses such as CA, M.COM, MBA, CMA, ICWA, CS, CFA, etc.
PO 6: The students will be ready for employment in functional areas like accounting, taxation, banking, insurance and corporate law.
Program Specific Outcomes:

BCom (General) with ACCA/CIMA:
PSO 1: Students will gain thorough subject skills within various disciplines of commerce, business, accounting, economics, banking, insurance finance, and auditing
PSO 2: Students will have a thorough learning and application of accounting standards in context of contemporary corporate system and legislation.
PSO 3: The course focuses on In-depth knowledge of laws relating to consumers, employees, tax and companies.
PSO 4: Students will acquire the skills for analyzing and interpreting financial statements which will help them in taking financial decisions for organizations.
PSO 5: Learners will be able to recognize features and roles of businessmen, entrepreneur, managers and consultants, which will help them to possess knowledge and other soft skills required for critical decision making.
PSO 6: Students will be able to pursue their career as Financial Analyst apart from different positions in the field of accounting, taxation, banking, insurance and corporate law.
