Through the WDC a tie up was made by the NAANDI Group, an NGO. Lecturers and students together contributed towards the education of 10 girls from economically backward class through the Nanhi kali project, one of the projects of NAANDI.
'Little Woman', the annual journal was released on 26th January, 2008.
Activities of 2008-2009
- A lecture / interaction of the girls with a Lady Doctor.
- A visit to one of the mandals of NAANDI for educating the parents of the girls and convince them of sending their daughters to school.
- Release of 'Little Women's volume II on September 16, 2008.
- A trip to Aruku Valley to bring awareness about the condition of the tribal women and community which is being helped by the NAANDI Group.
