An   Elocution Competition was conducted by the Literary Club on 16^th of July at 2:30p.m in Theatrix for  Inter  and Degree students. The topic - “Make your dreams a reality” was  announced  well  in advance. The second event started off with a short speech given by Mrs. Olivia, Head of the English Department on the  origin  of Elocution. Her speech was very informative and enlightening one which was followed by a melodious song sung by Samuel Thapa of Mass com  second year.

There  were  twenty  participants who were judged on the parameters of ‘Delivery’ and  ‘Content’. The time given was 2 minutes plus one minute extra to sum up. Mrs. Madhavi (Inter  In-charge) and Dr. Joseph(lecturer of English department) spared their valuable time to judge the oratory skills of the participants.

The enthusiastic participants justified the topic thoroughly, thereby giving interesting illustrations and tips on how to make ones dream a reality. To break the monotony , Mr. Akash of Mass com  II year recited  some rib tickling jokes for the audience.
 
The event of orators came to an end and the winners were announced. The First prize was bagged by Nidhi 0f II B.A Psychology and second prize was won by Armaan of B.Com IIA
