Menopause - Fit at 50, Strong at 60, Independent at 80
iWoman is the backbone of a family, yet most of the times than not, she is the one who is the most neglected one. As a woman grows older there are different problems at different phases of life, specially around the middle age when the responsibilities of a woman are at its peak and more so if she is a career woman. Keeping this in mind, through the women development cell, Dr. Meeta Singh, the General Secretary of Hyderabad Chapter, Indian Menopause society was invited to enlighten the women staff of St. Mary's College about the problems in the middle age / menopause and how to cope up with the changing physical problems. Dr Meeta spoke at length about the different causes and types of menopauses and the affects of the menopause on the life of women. She also advised that its as natural as any other change in the body and its onset is easy for some women and difficult for others, nonetheless, today with the medical science progressing in leaps, there is treatment and medication together with excercise and proper balanced diet which can help this phase to be easy. Dr. Meeta presented a power point presentation on this aspect of women's life.

Dr. Usha, from Global Cube, International consultants was also present for the seminar. She is actively into rural entrepreneurship of rural woman. She agreed with Dr. Meeta that women should take some time off for themselves and pamper themselves so that she is strong  to fight the ailments and mid-life crisis in the later part of life.
